Former Halifax Mooseheads’ defenceman Steve Lund has jumped head first into his new career.
Fortunately, there’s no helmet required for his starring role as werewolf Nick Sorrentino on Bitten, which airs on Canadian specialty channel Space and American cable station Syfy.
Lund’s promising hockey career came to a halt six years ago due to a serious concussion. The feisty blueliner had been selected fifth overall in the 2005 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Draft.

#Bitten Title revealed!! Let’s see with what episode we start the new season!
Q: Will we being seeing more of Elias Toufexis and Benjamin Ayres?
D: Yeah… we have Joey and Jorge definitely in mind because they help fill out the pack. So we have some story areas and episodes that we have them in mind. Because we haven’t been breaking season two for very long, we’re doing a kind of odd drywall, spackle, drywall, spackle – like we’re kind of moving forwards and backwards at the same time to make sure that everything logically with our mythology is making sense. So we know how our core pack is playing within that and then have our wish list of other people that we’d like to bring back in this season. So, we’re looking for areas for Joey and Jorge and hopefully they’ll land.
Are there any insights into season two that you can share? Specifically how it might be different from season one.
We do have a new Director of Photography this year and we also have a new Head of Wardrobe this year. We have a new Production Designer this year. But our network is very happy with the look of the show. So our show won’t look significantly different in season two, but because these are new people, they may bring exciting new thoughts to it. There might be a slight shift in that way. In terms of our storytelling, we’re not working with a love triangle anymore, we’re working with two people who are good together and who should be together. We’re going to throw a bunch of challenges at them though. I mean happiness is sort of the boring place in a show.

The greatest thing she’s learned as a showrunner is that “everybody’s got your back” and “leap and the net will appear.” She couldn’t choose just one favorite scene, but admitted that she likes writing for Elena and enjoys Nick’s crazy sexual adventures and Clay’s inner animal. Season two will be going off the novel but will still have enough of the novel stuff to please fans of the novels. There will be more backstory to help flesh out the characters. There will be 10 episodes in season two.
In comparing the two seasons, Daegan gave each a tag line. Season one: “accepting the family you’re with.” Season two: “let the right one in.” Season two will see Elena finding strength through what she is. She will find empowerment through acceptance. Daegan also revealed that the auditioned a lot of actresses for Elena, but that Laura Vandervoort wasn’t one of them. She came in to do a chemistry read and was immediately Elena. Daegan saw Greyston Holt in an audition for Motive and immediately saw him as Clay. The actors have all formed their own pack – they love each other and hang out together.

The German Channel SixxTV will air ‘Bitten’ this Summer!!
Canadians love the show, US as well and we already heard about, that ‘Bitten’ will hit UK this summer too. Now we have an update for Europe fans, specially meant for our German wolf maniacs. This August (15.8 is the date), the German channel Sixx TV will bait the fans with our sexy wolves, every Friday at 21:15 (German time). Finally, Stonehaven will howl out to devoted Germany and I can pretty much say, I’m excited about this!!

With a mix of characters from his own past in mind (a low-slung trailer park lothario muddled with a beach-boozing strip club owner on sabbatical) Matt took to shooting actor Greg Bryk with visions of reprobates, vagabonds, & cads cracking’ wise in his head. Such a story is perfect for the perpetual miscreant that is Bryk, whose loathsomely handsome face should be familiar to fans of a History of Violence, Bitten, the Saw franchise & The Incredible Hulk, as well as to those who follow the home renovation show Bryk House, in which he appears alongside wife Danielle. This personal creative ran concurrent to Matt photographing a headshot for Greg, and, while Matt admits to struggling in the past with shooting such an image, both actor and photographer were pleased with the results of the two channels of work. Pass the jump for more of Matt’s dastardly collaboration with Greg Bryk.
Love this shooting of . Our lovely alpha with a nice and different outfit! #Bitten
